Christmas Time

I've neglected this blog a little... (sorry moms) and so this post is sort of a hodgepodge of pictures.

A sign I made for Brooke and Austin for their Christmas present.

Cameron helped me track down some pallets, cut them for me and we turned it into a sign for Renee and Casey for Christmas.

Our Christmas trip to Breckenridge, we had wonderful weather!

We grabbed a late night dinner in Breckenridge... the free DoubleTree cookies didn't ruin our appetite.

My most recent craft, I do all my shopping while working at hobby lobby... they should just keep my paychecks.

 My handy hubby put lights in the guest room/craft room! 

Now that Christmas is over we need to take down some of our decorations.

Battalion Ball & Air Force Football

This is the Cheyenne Mountain Resort... it's only 15 minutes from our house and is where the Battalion Ball was held.  

Last weekend friends of ours invited us to an Air Force vs Navy football game at the Air Force Academy.  I wasn't prepared enough, it was FREEZING! There were light flurries at the beginning of the game.

It was a close game that went into overtime.. but unfortunately Navy came out on top.

Updates

Labor day weekend Cam and I got up at 5:30 (on our day off) to go to the balloon festival.  I was surprised how many people were at the park at such an early hour.

A friend of ours was able to rent a pontoon boat for the day. Unfortunately we forgot to take more pictures.... it was a very fun day.

New Sign

Oh how I've missed painting signs! (I'm happy to say there are a few more in the works)  This particular sign I painted for our living room.  For the background, Cameron thought of the idea to paint the verse in Hebrew... genius!

The last weekend of August... Where'd the summer go?

I enjoyed my time in Pennsylvania but it is good to be back home with Cameron.  We had a wonderful weekend :)

Saturday night we went out to dinner at the Briargate Manor.. Neither of us had ever heard of the place but we had a coupon and thought we would check it out.  There wasn't a bad review on the internet and we agreed the place was AWESOME! 

Sunday after church we went to a pre-season Broncos game.  There were 70,200 people there. Unfortunately thet Broncos lost but we're expecting good things for the season.. I'm really looking forward to  when they play the Steelers next weekend.

Of course we needed orange and blue attire!! Like our matching shirts? :) 

We asked someone to take our picture but we weren't ready for it.... hahaha! pity, it would have been a nice picture

A visit from our friends :)

Early Sunday Cameron took Todd and Alicia on a hike up the incline.  They left at 4:30 AM.  I didn't join them.. I kept the bed warm and fed everyone when they returned. They were able to see the sunrise and get some pretty pictures.

The incline is a little less than a mile but as you can see it's very very steep. It's still a little too advanced for me.

We took them to Garden of the Gods.. a must see when visiting Colorado Springs :)

Monday while Cameron was at work the rest of us drove to the top of Pikes Peak.

We also napped a lot and watched many Olympic events... but I'll spare you the pictures :) We were sad to see them leave.
